Esri Headlines

Highlighting Esri technical topics, news, and updates.

Esri Has Offical Retired ArcPad
ArcPad was officially retired by Esri as of 1/1/2022. It has had a long and effective history since its release in 2000. What does this mean for your organization? While you can still use ArcPad for the time being, there will be no new development or live technical support from Esri. There are a number of tools within the ArcGIS Online or Enterprise suite that can replace and upgrade your experience including Survey123, Field Maps, QuickCapture, and AppStudio. You can read more about the retirement of ArcPad on Esri’s blog.

Transition to the New ArcGIS Online Home Page:
Create a user-friendly home page for your ArcGIS Organization by using the new home page editor. This new editor is easy to use and allows you to build a modern, scrolling home page. It also includes helpful resources and content for your organization’s members and the public, if you allow outside access. You must update your home page to the new version by March, 2022. To learn more about the new home page editor and how to use it visit Esri’s blog page here.

What’s New in ArcGIS AppStudio 5.2:
Many new features and enhancements as well as foundational updates to the product suite were included in the newest release of ArcGIS AppStudio 5.2.
