Important Security Updates for ArcGIS Online: Delayed to April
In an effort to provide the strongest security for customers, Esri will be updating software to conform to Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 across the ArcGIS platform. While some programs, like ArcGIS Pro, already comply with TLS 1.2, other software such as ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Enterprise will require updates to further support connections to ArcGIS Online. The change was originally scheduled for February 2019, but will now take effect on April 16th, 2019. Certain actions will need to be taken to ensure continued access to ArcGIS Online services. To learn about what you may need to do, check out the support page!

GIS Tips & Tricks

When we learn something new or helpful, we like to pass it along.

ArcGIS Online allows your organization to assign different privileges to separate users with user types! While roles with different privileges were always possible, Esri’s user types allow for a wider range of user needs and requirements. Check out the documentation to see how user types could benefit you!
